Stoney's Bar & Grill signs a 10-year lease for a 15,000-square-foot location in downtown Colorado Springs at 118 N. Tejon St.
Stoney's, a local sports bar chain owned by Stoney Jesseph and partner Will Trautman, is expanding to Colorado Springs. The team has signed a 10-year lease for the former Oskar Blues Grill & Brew space at 118 N. Tejon St., which shuttered in December. The 15,000-square-foot, two-story property is currently undergoing interior renovations to incorporate the chain's signature aesthetic, including new barn wood, televisions, and sound systems, with an opening targeted for the first week of the NFL season.
The expansion strategy leverages the existing infrastructure of second-generation restaurant spaces, mirroring their recent successful takeover of a former Tap & Burger location in Denver's Sloan's Lake neighborhood. The decision to enter the Colorado Springs market was driven by the city's dense downtown, proximity to Colorado College, and a more favorable business climate compared to Denver, specifically regarding lower state-level minimum wage requirements.
