Demolition is underway for AT&T’s new $1.35 billion, 2.3-million-square-foot corporate headquarters in Plano.
Crews have begun demolition at the former Electronic Data Systems campus at 5400 Legacy Drive in Plano to clear the way for AT&T's future global headquarters. The developer, KDC, is leading the project, which is set to feature 2.3 million square feet of office, amenity, and retail space across a 54-acre site. Planned structures include an eight-story office building and a 280-foot tower designed for both communications and branding.
Financial backing includes a $400 million loan from JPMorgan Chase, while the city of Plano has approved a $20 million incentive package contingent on the firm’s $1.35 billion minimum construction investment and commitment to house 10,000 employees on-site. AT&T, which currently operates from downtown Dallas, is targeting initial occupancy for the campus by the second half of 2028.
