The City of Frisco and Plug and Play open Origin, a 6,000-square-foot innovation hub located within the Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research facility.
The City of Frisco has officially opened Origin, a 6,000-square-foot innovation center designed to support startups, venture capitalists, and industry-specific accelerator programs. Situated on the 10th floor of the Baylor Scott & White Health Sports Therapy & Research facility, the project is the result of a public-private partnership between the Frisco Economic Development Corporation and Plug and Play, the facility's designated operator.
Conceptualized in 2020 and launched following a 2023 operator selection process, the hub serves as a central point for tech-focused collaboration, featuring private offices, co-working space, and dedicated areas for sports-tech research. The space also includes a dedicated zone sponsored by the University of North Texas-Frisco. This location represents the largest operational footprint for the Silicon Valley-based Plug and Play outside of its California headquarters.
