Canoe Brook Development and Roseland Properties break ground on a $25 million performing arts center and 313-unit residential complex in Weehawken.
Work is officially underway at 300 Port Imperial Avenue, a 1.88-acre site along the Weehawken waterfront. The project, known as Port Imperial South Site 3, features a mixed-use development anchored by a 23,000-square-foot performing arts center valued at approximately $25 million. The facility will house Hudson Theater Works and include a 300-seat main theater alongside a smaller performance venue, with ownership transferring to the township upon completion.
In addition to the theater, the development will include 313 market-rate residential units and 296 structured parking spaces. Amenities for the residential complex will feature a fitness center, lounge areas, and an outdoor swimming pool. The project is currently under construction, with initial concrete pouring completed, and is expected to be operational within two years.
