Santikos Entertainment plans to sell its Legacy Oaks retail asset to fund construction of Trinity Oaks, a 33-acre mixed-use development in San Antonio.
Santikos Entertainment is launching an expansion strategy to develop new theater-anchored mixed-use projects across San Antonio, funded by the divestment of older retail holdings. The firm recently finalized the sale of the 360,000-square-foot Legacy Oaks property near Loop 1604 and U.S. Highway 281 to Rio Capital Investments to provide capital for this growth.
The development pipeline is headlined by Trinity Oaks, a 33-acre project situated along U.S. Highway 281 near the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort. The venue will feature 11 movie auditoriums and 15,000 square feet of retail space. Santikos is also evaluating a subsequent theater-anchored development in Far West San Antonio.
