Peachtree Group Takes Over $700M Brooklyn Village Site in Uptown Charlotte

Peachtree Group acquires the Brooklyn Village site in uptown Charlotte from The Peebles Corp. via deed transfer for a $700 million redevelopment.

By Colin Percy · May 22, 2026

Lender Peachtree Group has taken control of the prime uptown Charlotte site slated for the initial phase of the Brooklyn Village redevelopment. The acquisition was completed via a deed transfer following foreclosure proceedings against The Peebles Corp., the project's original developer.

The site is intended to serve as the launch point for the $700 million mixed-use redevelopment, a project that has faced significant delays. Future development plans for the parcels remain subject to change under new ownership.
