Lender Peachtree Group has taken control of the prime uptown Charlotte site slated for the initial phase of the Brooklyn Village redevelopment. The acquisition was completed via a deed transfer following foreclosure proceedings against The Peebles Corp., the project's original developer.
The site is intended to serve as the launch point for the $700 million mixed-use redevelopment, a project that has faced significant delays. Future development plans for the parcels remain subject to change under new ownership.
