Strategic Property Partners has submitted formal plans to the City of Tampa for a new entertainment district within the broader Water Street Tampa development. The project is designed to feature a 3,500-capacity live music venue, a 250-room hotel, and approximately 80,000 square feet of retail, dining, and hospitality space. The district is intended to serve as a walkable hub with public gathering areas active regardless of event schedules.
The music venue will operate in partnership with Vinik Sports Group, utilizing an "open room" model to host various promoters. The construction project is currently in the development review stage, with no official timeline for groundbreaking or completion announced. The joint venture of Moss Construction and Barton Malow is set to lead construction, while Gensler is providing architecture and design services.
