Milwaukee’s commercial landscape is seeing a wave of permit filings and committee approvals for various retail and office projects. Key developments include the expansion of a Clark fueling station at 1233 W. Layton Ave., which is set to grow by 600 square feet, and the relocation of Goldstein Law Group to 3,22 E. Michigan St., where the firm will occupy 2,850 square feet on the 5th floor of the McGeoch Building.
Additional activity includes the conversion of a 2,166-square-foot tavern at 2567 S. 9th Pl. into a duplex, along with numerous new restaurant openings including Mai Ramen, Slush Shack at Sherman Phoenix Marketplace, and Wela, which recently secured license committee approval. These projects represent a mix of adaptive reuse and small-scale expansion currently moving through the city's permitting and regulatory channels.
