GI Stone Targets Nashville Market Following Aspire Midtown Completion

GI Stone president Sandya Dandamudi plans a measured expansion into Nashville after completing the Aspire Midtown multifamily project.

By Colin Percy · Jul 21, 2025

GI Stone, a leading stone fabrication and installation firm led by President Sandya Dandamudi, is expanding its footprint beyond its Chicago headquarters. The firm, which recently marked 30 years in business, has built a portfolio spanning high-profile residential, hospitality, and office projects, including Tribune Tower Residences, No. 9 Walton, and One Bennett Park. After launching a dedicated luxury residential division last year, the company is now turning its attention to the Nashville market, where it has already completed work on the Aspire Midtown multifamily development and a high-end hotel and condominium sales center.

The firm maintains a focus on high-performance materials and safety, recently investing in advanced air monitoring and vacuum-lifting technologies to mitigate occupational hazards. Operating with a team of nearly 50 employees, GI Stone continues to prioritize sustainable practices, including a 95% water recycling rate in its workshops and the integration of low-silica materials like Dekton. Dandamudi intends to pursue a cautious growth strategy as the firm evaluates further opportunities to export its Chicago-honed expertise to new regional markets.
