Endeavor Real Estate Group aims to develop a 2,614-acre 'Dog’s Head' site in Austin following a proposed annexation vote.
The Austin City Council is scheduled to vote this Thursday on a development agreement with Endeavor Real Estate Group to annex a 2,614-acre parcel known as the 'Dog’s Head.' Located east of Highway 183 and north of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, the site is currently situated in an unincorporated extraterritorial jurisdiction. The proposed annexation could generate an estimated $3.5 billion in property tax revenue for the city over the next three decades.
Endeavor, which has acquired the majority of the land over the past several years, is expected to lead the long-term master planning for the area. The project is envisioned as a multi-decade effort spanning 45 years, incorporating a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial uses. The agreement also mandates the inclusion of affordable housing units and the construction of a public riverfront trail.
