Colorado Premium opens a new 175,000-square-foot sous vide manufacturing plant in a former Kmart building in Greeley.
Colorado Premium has expanded its manufacturing footprint in Greeley, Colorado, with the opening of a new facility at 2400 West 29th Street. The 175,000-square-foot production plant, which specializes in fully cooked sous vide proteins, occupies a converted former Kmart retail site on 20 acres. The project is currently in a four-phase startup process and is expected to employ up to 275 workers, including 100 new full-time positions created by the expansion.
This site marks the company's third production facility in Colorado. Following its acquisition by Dallas-based private equity firm Kainos Capital earlier this year, Colorado Premium continues to operate as an independent portfolio company while leveraging new technical resources to scale its production of beef, pork, and chicken for retail and restaurant chain customers.
