Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. plans a $4 million renovation of the Mercer Commons arcade space in Over-the-Rhine, which includes upgrading 4,000 square feet of retail and residential units.
The Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) is set to revitalize a long-vacant corner at Mercer Commons in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati. The $4 million renovation project focuses on the ground-floor commercial space, which comprises roughly 4,000 square feet and formerly housed an arcade bar, alongside planned upgrades to the building's residential units.
While the space has remained dark since the departure of the previous tenant in February 2025, 3CDC intends to use this investment to restore activity to the prominent Walnut and Mercer intersection. The organization frequently pairs street-level commercial storefronts with residential improvements to activate local blocks, though officials have yet to announce a formal construction timeline or the next commercial tenant for the address.
