Officials have issued a full building permit for Dinkel’s Lofts, a 42-unit mixed-use development in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
Senco Properties has secured a full building permit for Dinkel’s Lofts, a seven-story mixed-use project located at 3327 N. Lincoln. Designed by Jonathan Splitt Architects, the structure will rise nearly 80 feet and preserve the historic facades of the original Dinkel’s Bakery and an adjacent three-story brick building. The development includes 42 residential units—comprising studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts—alongside approximately 3,992 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a 20-car parking garage, and various amenities including a fitness center and roof deck.
While the property was reportedly listed for sale by developer Senco Properties (part of PCR Group) in November, the permit filing maintains Senco Properties as the developer. General contractor Sovereign Construction Co LLC is authorized to begin construction, though separate demolition permits are still required to clear the site before work can proceed.
Development is active across an entire city block in Chicago's Fulton Market, with ongoing construction at 900 W. Fulton.
Foundation work is underway for a new five-story mixed-use development at 4650 North Magnolia in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood.
Chicago City Council approved a package of development measures including a 64-unit supportive housing project and the $500M first phase of the 1901 Project.
