The City of Russell is set to debut the Tri-State region’s first drone light show this Memorial Day weekend. Organized by the Russell Tourism Commission, the event features a synchronized 15-minute display developed in partnership with Skyworx. The event is scheduled for Sunday with three separate performances at 9:15 p.m., 10:15 p.m., and 11:15 p.m.
Public viewing is encouraged at the parking lots of local businesses within the Russell Plaza, including Hobby Lobby, Lowes, Kroger, and Dunham’s. According to Tourism Director Faith Wolfe, the project is funded by tourism tax dollars intended to support local community activity and stimulate area businesses.
