The Paducah Sports Park in Paducah held its inaugural baseball tournament over Memorial Day weekend, hosting 60 teams as construction nears completion on the final project phase.
The Paducah Sports Park recently hosted its first baseball tournament, welcoming 60 teams and approximately 3,000 visitors to the new facility in Paducah, Kentucky. While segments of the park remain under construction, officials anticipate the remaining half of the development will be fully operational by June 13.
Project leadership, including director of operations Jeff Woodside, expects the facility to generate significant economic activity for the region by drawing out-of-town visitors to local hotels, restaurants, and retail businesses. The park, which is situated along the Greenway Trail, is already hosting additional athletic events, with a follow-up softball tournament scheduled for May 30.
