Related Cos. and Mercy Housing California secure $150 million in financing for the 95-unit Sunnydale Block 9 apartment development in San Francisco.
Wells Fargo Commercial Real Estate has finalized a $150 million financing package to support the construction of Sunnydale Block 9, a new residential development in San Francisco. The project is a joint venture between Related Cos. and Mercy Housing California and marks the sixth phase of the broader Sunnydale HOPE SF redevelopment initiative.
The development will feature a five-story building containing 95 apartments, ranging from one- to four-bedroom floor plans, situated above a podium parking garage. Designed by Van Meter Williams Pollack, the building is located at 1652 Sunnydale Avenue, occupying a prominent corner near the neighborhood's community center, park, and garden. The project is part of a larger master plan aimed at replacing existing structures with 775 new housing units, alongside 995 additional affordable and market-rate apartments across a 50-acre site.
