Onni Group Proposes 474-Unit Dual-Tower Residential Project in Arts District

Onni Group has submitted revised plans for its development at 2143 E. Violet Street in the Arts District of Los Angeles, shifting the scope from a mixed-use office and housing complex to an all-residential project. The updated proposal features two towers, standing 30 and 20 stories tall, encompassing approximately 569,000 square feet. The project will provide 474 residential units, including 77 units designated for very low- and extremely low-income households as required by Measure JJJ, alongside roughly 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Designed by SCB, the taller 344-foot western building will contain 324 residential units and 1,000 square feet of retail, while the shorter 226-foot eastern building will house 150 units and 1,000 square feet of retail. The plan retains existing commercial buildings on the northern portion of the site and incorporates pedestrian walkways and gathering spaces. Subterranean parking is also planned for the development.
