NEWS Point Academy is set to open this fall in Mesa, operating as a tuition-free charter high school located on the campus of the Arizona Athletic Grounds. The facility will initially serve ninth and tenth-grade students, with long-term plans to expand into a full four-year high school curriculum. The school celebrated its launch with a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony and is currently accepting admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The academy features a founding student body of 150 to 200 students, with the current building designed to accommodate future classroom and office expansions as enrollment grows. Students receive integrated access to the sports facilities at Arizona Athletic Grounds—which include fields for soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball—as part of a daily 90-minute sports and leadership block that emphasizes training and performance tracking.
