Logos Faith Development and St. Rest Friendship Baptist Church break ground on the 62-unit first phase of a 138-unit affordable housing development in Los Angeles.
Logos Faith Development has officially commenced construction on Phase One of a new affordable housing community located at 709 W. Manchester Ave. in Los Angeles. This initial phase will deliver 62 apartment homes, comprising 53 one-bedroom and nine two-bedroom units, designated for low- and moderate-income households. The four-story building will feature a second-floor courtyard and 27 covered parking spaces, with project completion anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Sunflower Bank provided a $15-million construction loan to finance the development, which marks a significant milestone as Logos Faith's first solo project without co-developers. The overarching plan for the site involves a total of 138 units, with 90% reserved for Section 8-compliant tenants. A future second phase will complete the residential component and incorporate a new worship and ministry space for the partner organization, St. Rest Friendship Baptist Church.
