A developer is pursuing plans to redevelop the former Carmelite monastery site located on the edge of Highland Park in the Cypress Hills neighborhood of Brooklyn. The proposed project involves a rezoning of the property to facilitate the construction of a nine-story, 345-unit residential complex. The cloistered nuns previously occupying the site relocated more than three years ago.
