Developer Hitendra Patel revives plans for a 59-room, three-story Best Western hotel at 2645 S. Western Avenue in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.
A previously stalled hotel project in Los Angeles’ Jefferson Park neighborhood is moving forward again. Developer Hitendra Patel filed new plans on May 12 for a three-story, 59-room Best Western hotel located at 2645 S. Western Avenue. The development, which includes on-site parking for 46 vehicles, will feature a C-shaped design with an outdoor second-level patio and Streamline Moderne architectural elements designed by Studio M + A.
The project site, situated at the northwest corner of Western Avenue and 27th Street, was previously approved for a larger 77-room version of the hotel in 2020, though construction never moved beyond site clearing. The current proposal represents a downsized effort to reactivate the vacant lot, which sits within a corridor experiencing significant multifamily development by firms such as CIM Group.
