Amkor Technology has secured an additional 67-acre parcel adjacent to its 104-acre semiconductor campus in Peoria, Arizona.
Amkor Technology is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Peoria’s Innovation Core by acquiring 67 acres of land adjacent to its existing 104-acre site. The company is developing an advanced semiconductor packaging and testing campus, which is set to become the first high-volume outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility of its kind in the United States.
The project is designed to support high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, automotive, and communications markets. This additional land acquisition provides the firm with increased strategic flexibility for future expansions to meet rising customer demand for domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity.
The Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission recommended a rezoning for a 68.45-acre site at Burris Road and Gila Bend Highway to industrial use.
