Construction of the $93.5M Celina Downtown Center is advancing toward a late 2026 completion, with structural steel and utility infrastructure work currently underway.
The City of Celina is moving forward with its $93.5 million Downtown Center project, a 115,245-square-foot facility designed to anchor future development. The project includes a 25,000-square-foot parking garage with approximately 400 spaces, new city offices, a community library 10 times the size of the current facility, and a rooftop community space. The surrounding alleyways are slated for conversion into garden-like pedestrian areas.
Construction crews have completed elevator shaft masonry through the first two levels and finished pouring topping slabs through level three. Ongoing work includes structural steel erection, plumbing and electrical rough-ins, and waterproofing, with mass timber installation expected to begin in the coming weeks. The project, which is funded through obligation bonds, is currently on track to reach completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
