1. Who We Are

birddog is a data product for design-phase commercial real estate suppliers, designers, engineers and specialty subcontractors. We help them find projects and the professionals working on them. birddog is operated by suntwenty LLC, 1317 Edgewater Drive #2492, Orlando, FL 32804, USA ("birddog," "we," "us").

This policy explains how we handle personal information about three groups of people:

• Visitors to heybirddog.com;
• Customers and their users, who buy birddog's services; and
• Professionals in our database, such as architects, engineers and project team members, whose business information we collect from public records, publicly available information and third-party data providers, and license to customers.

If you're a professional in our database, you can ask us to remove your information at any time on our Data Removal Request page.

2. What We Collect and Where It Comes From

We don't intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as health, racial or financial account data, or information about children. When we work inside a customer's own systems, such as their CRM, we handle that data on the customer's behalf under our Terms of Service and Data Processing Addendum, not this policy.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• build and maintain our database, including linking professionals to projects and verifying that contact details are current;
• provide our services to customers, including licensing data, running our APIs, billing and support;
• improve birddog, using usage data in aggregated or de-identified form where we can;
• send service messages, and marketing to customers and business prospects, which you can opt out of at any time;
• keep birddog secure, prevent misuse, and comply with the law; and
• honor removal and opt-out requests.

We don't sell or give personal information to AI developers to train their models.

Legal bases in the EU and UK. Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on:

• legitimate interests for our database and business-to-business prospecting, limited to information about people in their professional roles;
• contract for providing services to customers;
• legal obligation where the law requires us to process data; and
• consent where the law requires it, such as for certain cookies.

4. How We Share Information

• With customers: we license professionals' business information to our customers, which are businesses in the design and construction industry, for their own prospecting. Our terms bar them from reselling it and require them to follow outreach laws and honor opt-outs. Under some US state laws, this licensing counts as a "sale" of personal information.
• With service providers: companies that help us run birddog, such as hosting, AI model, automation, email, form and payment providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
• For legal reasons: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of birddog, our customers or others.
• In a business transfer: if birddog is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

We don't sell information about our customers or website visitors. Advertising tools on our site may use information about your visits to show you our ads on other sites, which some state laws call "sharing." You can opt out through our Data Removal Request page.

5. Your Choices and Rights

5.1 Remove your information

Anyone can ask us to remove their information from birddog, which also opts them out of any sale of it. Submit a request on our Data Removal Request page. We keep a minimal record so we don't add you back from public sources. We also tell customers who received your information, and our terms require them to stop using it for outreach.

5.2 Access and correction

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, using the request form on our Data Removal Request page. We'll verify your identity first and respond within 45 days, or within one month where EU or UK law applies.

5.3 California residents

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and sell; to delete or correct it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and not to be treated differently for using these rights. In the past 12 months, we collected the categories described in Section 2: identifiers (such as name, email and phone), professional or employment-related information, commercial information about customers, and internet activity for visitors. We sold identifiers and professional information about professionals to our customers, as described in Section 4. You may use an authorized agent to make requests for you.

You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of every page, which leads to our Data Removal Request page. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sharing.

5.4 Other US states

Residents of other states with privacy laws may have similar rights. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we'll respond within the time the law requires.

5.5 EU and UK residents

If you're in the EU or UK, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your data, and object to how we use it, including for marketing. You can also contact your local data protection authority.

5.6 Marketing emails

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

6. Retention, Security and International Transfers

6.1 How long we keep information

6.2 Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

6.3 International transfers

birddog is based in the United States, and our team may access information from the United States and Mexico. When we transfer personal information from the EU or UK, we use legally recognized safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Cookies, Children, Changes and Contact

7.1 Cookies

heybirddog.com uses cookies needed for the site to work and, with your consent where the law requires it, analytics and advertising tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag and PostHog, to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

7.2 Children

birddog is a business service. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

7.3 Changes

We'll post updates to this policy on this page and change the date at the top. If we make material changes, we'll notify customers by email.
