Union Square Hospitality Group signs a lease for a 3,200-square-foot restaurant space at the historic Hotel Bossert in Brooklyn Heights.
Union Square Hospitality Group, led by Danny Meyer, has secured 3,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space at 98 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights. The restaurant will anchor the former Hotel Bossert, a landmark property acquired by SomeraRoad for $100 million in 2025. This lease marks a significant step in the building's transformation, which also includes an ongoing project by SomeraRoad to convert the 12-story, 282-key hotel into luxury residential units.
SomeraRoad, which took ownership of the property following a foreclosure on the previous owner, the Chetrit Group, aims to restore the building while integrating it back into the neighborhood's social fabric. The site, originally opened in 1909, has a storied history, including serving as the venue for the Brooklyn Dodgers' 1955 World Series victory celebration.
