Turner Construction has been selected as the general contractor for the $500M Westcourt Orlando mixed-use district, a 900,000-square-foot development in downtown Orlando.
Turner Construction Co. has been tapped to lead the $500-million Westcourt Orlando project, a long-planned mixed-use development located on an 8.5-acre site adjacent to the Kia Center. The 900,000-square-foot complex is set to include an 11-story, 265-key Kimpton-branded hotel, 269 residential units, a 3,500-capacity Live Nation venue, 125,000 square feet of retail, and up to 310,000 square feet of Class A office space. Early site activity, including utility mapping and test piling, is currently underway, with official groundbreaking targeted for the second quarter of 2026 and a projected opening in late 2028.
The development is spearheaded by JMA Ventures, Machete Group, and the DeVos family, with architectural design by Baker Barrios. To facilitate the project, Orlando’s Community Redevelopment Agency increased its funding commitment to $2.5 million to support the construction of public meeting facilities. The site will also incorporate 10 attainable housing units and a 1,140-stall parking structure, with the city of Orlando gaining access to annual event space within the hotel and venue as part of the agreement.
