Trader Joe’s is expanding its Florida footprint with a new location in Sarasota at 8199 S. Tamiami Trail. The project, which was confirmed via the grocer's official "opening soon" pipeline, is part of a broader national growth strategy that recently added nine locations to the company's development list. The company now has 25 stores in various stages of development nationwide.

This expansion targets the high-growth South Tamiami Trail retail corridor, which has seen increased activity driven by an influx of new residents to the region. The California-based grocer currently operates over 600 stores across the U.S. and reported a 9.6% year-over-year increase in customer visits during the fourth quarter of 2025.
