TeraWulf acquires a 285-acre site in EastPark for the development of the 1-gigawatt Muskie Data Campus in Greenup County.
TeraWulf has announced the acquisition of a 285-acre parcel in the EastPark Industrial Park, where it plans to develop the Muskie Data Campus. The facility is designed to support more than 1 gigawatt of high-performance computing capacity, with an initial 500-megawatt phase scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2028 and an additional 500 megawatts targeted for the second half of 2030. Industrial Equity Partners previously acquired the site for this development.
To support the power requirements of the campus, Kentucky Power will construct a new 345-kilovolt substation connected to the regional 765-kV transmission network. The project, which is fully zoned for industrial use, is expected to generate significant construction activity and long-term tax revenue for the region. The developer has committed to paying standard industrial power rates without subsidies or exemptions, aiming to mitigate potential impacts on residential energy costs.
Developers move forward with a massive new data center facility at the EastPark industrial site in Kentucky.
