Six housing projects are underway in the Lake Travis area, delivering a mix of multifamily, townhome, and senior living units to address local population growth.
Amid rapid population growth in western Travis County, six housing developments are advancing to expand local living options in the Lake Travis area. Projects include the Villas at Cardinal Hills, an affordable housing community in Hudson Bend offering 180 income-restricted units, and Jovie Lakeway, a 55-plus active adult community currently leasing in Lakeway.
Additional residential activity is concentrated in Bee Cave, where the 18-acre Village at Spanish Oaks is planning 310 apartment units and up to 225 senior living units. Meanwhile, BB Living Sweetwater Crossing has begun leasing, and the Hills at Provence is slated for an expansion of 193 townhome-style units. These projects reflect a broader market trend toward multifamily development as median home sale prices in the region reached $600,000 in April 2026.
