Nevada's economic development office approved $19.8M in tax abatements for nine companies planning $264.3M in capital investment across the state.
The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) has authorized $19,821,919 in tax abatements for nine companies committed to a combined capital investment of $264,254,788. These projects are projected to create 534 new jobs over the next five years at an average hourly wage of $42.46. The initiative is expected to generate $60,639,918 in new tax revenue for the state over the 10-year abatement period.
The approved projects include manufacturing and technology facility expansions and new construction across multiple Nevada municipalities, including North Las Vegas, Carson City, Minden, and Douglas and Storey Counties. Separately, GOED awarded $636,637 to Truckee Meadows Community College for a workforce training program focused on heavy equipment and diesel technicians to support the state’s mining and infrastructure sectors.
