MetroNational Acquires 244-Room Moran Hotel in Houston’s CITYCENTRE District

JLL has finalized the sale of the Moran Hotel CITYCENTRE, a 244-room lifestyle property situated in Houston’s 47-acre CITYCENTRE mixed-use development. The transaction involved representing the seller, Midway, in the acquisition by MetroNational. Originally opened in 2009 as Hotel Sorella, the property rebranded to its current name in 2020 and underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2024, enhancing its guestrooms, common areas, and dining outlets.

Beyond its primary hospitality inventory, the asset includes 22 condominium units and 14,645 square feet of fully leased ground-floor retail space anchored by tenants such as Daily Gather and Yard House. The hotel also features 15,750 square feet of meeting space and multiple food and beverage concepts. Strategically located near the intersection of Interstate 10 and Beltway 8, the site benefits from the broader CITYCENTRE environment, which includes 400,000 square feet of retail, 1.5 million square feet of office space, and over 1,500 residential units.
