The City of Mesa has officially decided against utilizing the Sunaire property, a former hotel acquired and renovated for $14 million, as an emergency homeless shelter. While the city remains committed to providing emergency beds for homeless residents, including families with young children and seniors, the facility will not serve in this capacity despite the completed renovations.
