LV Petroleum expresses interest in acquiring the Primm Flying J truck stop ahead of its scheduled July 4 closure.
LV Petroleum, a Las Vegas-based operator of TA travel centers, has submitted a letter of interest to acquire the Flying J truck stop in Primm, Nevada. The facility, which features 10 fuel lanes and driver amenities, is currently slated to close on July 4 alongside other local businesses operated by Affinity Gaming, a subsidiary of the New York-based hedge fund Z Capital Partners. While a final purchase agreement has not been reached, representatives for the seller indicate they are actively negotiating to maintain operations and maximize value for all stakeholders.
The potential transaction follows Affinity Gaming's announcement that its casino and retail operations in Primm are no longer viable. Affinity, which leases the properties from the Primm family, is working with the landlord to either transition the assets to new operators or sell them to avoid a total cessation of services. The Nevada Gaming Control Board has requested regular updates on any efforts to keep the location operational.
