Lipton Inc. is preparing to open its second car wash location in early December at 1035 South St. in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The project, which involved the demolition of a former restaurant building in December 2023, represents a $1.75 million investment. The new facility features a 150-foot tunnel and onsite infrastructure designed to stack 35 vehicles, addressing local traffic concerns along the busy corridor.
The site includes 18 wide-stall vacuums, automated mat washers, and a license plate-reading entry system to facilitate efficient processing. The development aims to revitalize the property, which had previously sat vacant, and will be supported by a staff of 10 full-time employees.
