By Colin Percy · May 26, 2026

The Luce, a 200-room Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel, is set for a soft opening on June 11 in St. Pete Beach. Owned by LCP and Safanad and managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the property is a repositioned boutique hotel featuring 14,000 square feet of event space, two dining concepts, and what is reported to be the largest pool in the area. The renovation adds direct beach access and a variety of room types, including bungalow studio suites and lanai rooms, to attract leisure and group travel demand in Pinellas County.

Dining operations will debut with Sundrop, an indoor-outdoor restaurant, followed by the fall 2026 opening of Baby Turtle Beach Club. The hotel's meetings and events infrastructure includes seven venues, such as a 2,280-square-foot ballroom, with a total capacity for up to 200 guests. The project represents a significant hospitality investment for LCP, which holds approximately $1 billion in assets under management.
