Kroger Planning 118K SF Marketplace Conversion at Dunwoody’s Perimeter Village

Kroger plans to open a 118,000-square-foot Marketplace store at the Perimeter Village shopping center in Dunwoody.

By Colin Percy · May 26, 2026

Kroger is pursuing plans to occupy a significant portion of a vacant 183,000-square-foot building formerly tenanted by Walmart within the Perimeter Village retail center in Dunwoody, Georgia. The proposed development calls for a 118,000-square-foot Kroger Marketplace, with the remaining square footage at the site intended for an additional tenant.

Kimco Realty, which acquired the shopping center in 2022, is the site owner. The proposal is currently awaiting approval from the Dunwoody City Council, with a potential vote scheduled for June. This expansion aligns with Kroger's broader strategic shift toward larger-format store concepts.
