Jojo's Hot Chicken opens its first brick-and-mortar restaurant at 1601 Branham Lane in San Jose.
Jojo's Hot Chicken has officially transitioned from a successful food truck operation to its first brick-and-mortar storefront. The new restaurant opened on April 23 at 1601 Branham Lane in San Jose, marking a significant expansion for owner Yohana Gedam. The brand previously gained national recognition, including a No. 4 ranking on Yelp’s 2025 top 100 food trucks list, while operating from locations in Almaden Valley and at 447 E Williams Street in Downtown San Jose.
As the brand moves into its permanent space, it is closing its Kooser Road food truck site, which will be occupied by dessert shop Zees Munchies. Looking ahead to the summer, the company is also planning an expansion into the 75,000-square-foot Spark Social food truck park, which is scheduled to debut in July.
