Vertical construction has commenced at Creekside Cottages, a 225-unit build-to-rent community located on a 39-acre site at the intersection of Society Hill Road and Gateway Drive in Opelika, Alabama. Developed by Jim Chapman Construction Group, the project follows the completion of land development in January 2026. The community will feature attached townhomes ranging from 1,000 to 1,439 square feet, offering two- and three-bedroom floor plans with amenities including a clubhouse, swimming pool, and dog park.
Leasing is scheduled to begin in summer 2026, with full project completion anticipated by mid-2027. This development serves as Jim Chapman Construction Group’s fourth collaboration with a publicly traded REIT and is strategically positioned to serve the rental market near Auburn University.
