J.H. Hassinger Commences Construction on Granville Meditation Garden in Milwaukee

Menomonee Falls-based contractor J.H. Hassinger has commenced construction on a new meditation garden at the Granville Lutheran Campus in northwest Milwaukee. The project is the culmination of a year-long educational partnership with LUMIN Schools designed to introduce middle school students to careers in the construction trades.

Seventh and eighth-grade students were instrumental in the project, participating in design pitches, material selection, and project budgeting exercises. While students will continue to assist with finishing tasks like brick painting, J.H. Hassinger crews have taken over the primary construction duties for the four-to-six-week development, which includes a wooden pergola, concrete paths, and masonry benches. The project is slated for completion in mid-June.
