The Greenville County Schools Board of Trustees has authorized the $1.8 million purchase of a 0.6-acre parcel located at 606 Augusta St. to increase student parking capacity at Greenville High Academy. The district plans to integrate an additional 0.21 acres from the South Carolina Department of Transportation to support the development of roughly 100 new parking spaces, with 50 spaces expected to be ready for the 2026-27 school year.

Additionally, the board approved a five-year lease for Greenville Technical College’s Golden Strip Career Center Welding Facility in Simpsonville. The district previously allocated $455,000 for upgrades to the 1930 W. Georgia Road site, which will increase the district's welding capacity to 156 total booths. Trustees also approved the $290,000 purchase of a 0.76-acre property at 10 Balfer Drive to facilitate the future growth of Wade Hampton High School.
