Ensign Group acquires 17 skilled nursing facilities across Texas, adding over 2,000 beds to its portfolio.
The Ensign Group has expanded its footprint in Texas through the acquisition of 17 skilled nursing facilities. The transaction, which includes both the underlying real estate and facility operations, was executed by subsidiaries of the company's captive real estate investment trust, Standard Bearer REIT.
While specific financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the deal significantly bolsters the firm's capacity by adding more than 2,000 skilled nursing beds to its managed portfolio. Operations at the newly acquired sites will be managed by affiliates of the Ensign Group.
