Chase Bank Approved for 3,600 SF Redevelopment at Former Campbell Denny’s Site

The Campbell Planning Commission has approved plans for a 3,600-square-foot Chase Bank to replace a former Denny's at 2060 S. Bascom Avenue.

By Colin Percy · May 26, 2026

The Campbell Planning Commission unanimously approved a proposal on May 12, 2026, to redevelop a one-acre site at 2060 S. Bascom Avenue into a new Chase Bank. The project involves constructing a 3,600-square-foot building with 31 parking spaces, replacing a former Denny's restaurant that has sat vacant since 2021.

This approval marks the resolution of a long-contested site that had previously been the subject of two unsuccessful proposals to bring a Chick-fil-A to the location, which faced significant local opposition regarding traffic and congestion. In contrast, the banking development encountered no public objections and is expected to offer a quieter, lower-traffic alternative for the surrounding community.
