Gould Property Co. and Konterra Realty have broken ground on the first phase of the 1,400-acre Konterra Town Center East project in Prince George’s County, featuring 220 townhomes and 500 apartment units.
Gould Property Co. and its real estate arm, Konterra Realty, have officially commenced site work on the initial phase of the Konterra Town Center East development in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Situated on a 400-acre portion of a 1,400-acre master-planned site formerly utilized for sand and gravel mining, the project represents a multi-year effort by the Gould family, who have held the land since the early 1980s.
The development's initial phase includes the construction of 220 townhomes known as The Marais, being built by Caruso Homes, with the first units expected to deliver this fall. Additionally, a partnership with Bozzuto Construction is underway to develop two apartment buildings totaling 500 units, which are currently slated for completion in 2028.
A proposed mixed-use development at Pearl Street and Montgomery Avenue in downtown Bethesda would deliver 590 apartments, retail space, and public gathering areas across a 3.8-acre site.
