CAPA announces the official name of the upcoming Wrightsel Music Hall, a downtown venue under renovation at 132 South Third Street.
The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) has officially named its new downtown performance venue the Wrightsel Music Hall, following a gift from the Wrightsel Family Foundation to support the property's historic renovation. Located at 132 South Third Street, the project is moving forward with an estimated 12 to 15-month construction timeline and a projected grand opening in the fall of 2027.
The venue is designed to accommodate a diverse range of live performances, featuring a main hall with a seated capacity of 300 to 400 guests and a standing capacity of up to 600. CAPA President and CEO Chad Whittington noted that the development is supported by significant community backing, with the naming rights honoring the legacy of the late attorney Doug Wrightsel.
