Buffalo Central Terminal Reaches Midpoint on Passenger Concourse Restoration Project

The Buffalo Central Terminal is halfway through the restoration of its historic Passenger Concourse while hosting a 2026 summer community event series.

By Colin Percy · May 21, 2026

Ongoing redevelopment efforts at the historic Buffalo Central Terminal have reached a major milestone, with construction on the Passenger Concourse now 50% complete. This stabilization work is part of a broader, long-term initiative to transform the landmark campus into a destination for the Buffalo community.

While revitalization efforts continue, the site is hosting a series of public events throughout the 2026 season, including a car show and the new 'Circle Thursdays' concert series. These initiatives are designed to maintain neighborhood engagement as the property moves toward its eventual reopening.
