Barilla plans a $170 million two-phase expansion of its manufacturing facility in Avon, New York, adding 52,000 square feet of space and creating over 90 jobs.
Pasta manufacturer Barilla Americas is launching a $170 million expansion at its existing production site in Avon, New York. The project, which involves a two-phase development, aims to boost manufacturing capacity and supply chain efficiency. The first phase, valued at $145 million, includes the construction of a 52,000-square-foot main building to house three packaging lines and one production line, alongside a new warehouse facility for storage and distribution.
The initiative is projected to create more than 90 jobs and is expected to reach completion for the first phase by March 2028. To support the project, Barilla will receive up to $2.75 million in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Tax Credits. Additional support for the expansion is being provided by the New York Power Authority, National Grid, Rochester Gas and Electric, Livingston County, and Greater Rochester Enterprise.
