AdventHealth plans an 80-bed hospital on a 25-acre parcel as part of the 700-acre Legacy Place mixed-use development in Wildwood.
AdventHealth is slated to construct an 80-bed hospital within Legacy Place, a 700-acre mixed-use development located along Florida’s Turnpike near County Road 470 and Central Parkway. The hospital will anchor the project, occupying a 25-acre parcel that will also feature retail, dining, and business space. The development is a partnership between Benderson Development and The Villages, located in the rapidly growing Wildwood–The Villages area.
Project phasing is scheduled to begin in 2027, with the hospital set for a 2030 opening. This medical facility is designed to serve one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States, which saw a population increase of nearly 20% over the last four years. The development team aims to integrate health services with retail and entertainment options to support long-term regional demand.
