9 Mile Garden Adds Indoor Venue Following Safety Restrictions at Affton Site

9 Mile Garden in Affton announces a ban on sports equipment following reports of injuries, property damage, and safety concerns at the venue.

By Colin Percy · May 28, 2026

9 Mile Garden, a popular food truck destination located on Gravois Road in Affton, Missouri, has officially banned the use of sports equipment on its premises. Management announced the policy change on Wednesday, citing recurring issues with visitor injuries, spilled drinks, and damage to vendor property caused by items like cornhole games.

First opened in 2020 as Missouri's inaugural food truck garden, the venue has been refining its operations since 2024 to increase safety as crowd sizes grow. Despite the mixed public reaction regarding the restriction on play, the garden continues its expansion, with the opening of a new indoor venue scheduled for this weekend.
