Governor Kathy Hochul announces the completion of the $15 million Capital Region Music Hub expansion and renovation at the historic Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy.
The $15 million renovation and expansion of the 150-year-old Troy Savings Bank Music Hall has been completed, marking the venue's first major interior update in over 20 years. Supported by $6.5 million in combined funding from the New York State Council on the Arts and Empire State Development, the project includes the new Capital Region Music Hub on the building's second floor, featuring flexible event and rehearsal space, an education classroom, and updated HVAC systems designed for acoustic sensitivity.
Located within Troy's Downtown Revitalization Initiative district, the project transforms the historic landmark into a year-round, multipurpose venue intended to boost local economic growth and cultural programming. The renovation enhances overall accessibility while ensuring the site remains a central hub for community gatherings and innovative performances for the region.
